Shabby Chic quilt

Okay, this is my first experience making a rag quilt.  I heard a quote by Elder Uchdorf, in a talk at church and I thought was so appropriate for a friend of mine that I decided to embroider it on a quilt.
 I had so much fun making it that I think I might start making one a week (except for one small problem- it's kind of expensive)!

I love how there are so many options of things to do with embroidery!!

Springtime?!!

In hopes of spring arriving soon I made these blocks, each letter is appliqued with a different yet coordinating springtime fabric, with an adorable lace stiching around it. Each letter is then mounted on a painted wood block. The letters are 8 inches tall by 6 inches wide.
